My attention has been drawn to the widespread rumour that, the Ogun State 2015 UPN governorship candidate, Otunba Rotimi Paseda has dumped his gubernatorial ambition to support Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka.

Nothing could be farther from the truth. The concocted fallacy was just a figment in the imagination of the rumour peddlers.

To set the record straight, It is no hidden fact that, Otunba Rotimi Paseda shared a long existing relationship with Prince Nasir Isiaka irrespective of their political affiliations and ideologies.

Hence, Otunba Paseda appearance at the launching of GNI's "The Believe Movement" at Sagamu recently should not translate to abandoning his governorship ambition for anybody, but on pure friendship devoid of politics of bitterness.

The fact that, Otunba Rotimi Paseda’s aspiration is predicated on rescue mission to provide succour and alternative government to the people of Ogun State.

Infact, I am perturbed that, at this stage of the race to 2019, some politicians could be busy discussing and giving Otunba Paseda cheap publicity when they ought to be busy planning for the election.

The fact that, Paseda has refused to join array of politicians who have started "shadow campaign" instead of demanding the yearnings of the masses does not mean he had gave up.

Therefore, his aspiration should not be seen as threat and misrepresented, because Otunba Rotimi Paseda is a personality with impeccable character, thus, should not be crucified for his alliance with any individual/politician.

Otunba Paseda remain constitutionally binded to freely relate with anybody irrespective of their political affinity, as such, he will not be deterred in his belief of providing all inclusive government and oneness.

Moreover, election has not even started, I wonder the foul cry about Otunba Rotimi Paseda. They should wait for INEC to make the floor open for electoral campaign and allow the electorates to decide who will represent them through the ballot paper, not by inciting derogatory statement that may cause political unrest in the state.

I therefore urge the good people of Ogun state and supporters of Otunba Rotimi Paseda not to be swayed by the campaign of calumny, but should remain firm in their believe and continue their Ward-2-Ward consultation for Otunba Rotimi Paseda and imploring politicians to play politics with maturity and decency.
